Rittman Schools Plan Sept 5 Return for Students
Rittman schools will open September 5 with some pupils reporting September 4 for enrollment and orientation. A PT A sponsored teachers breakfast precedes a general meeting and building sessions. Freshman orientation and kindergarten parent meetings occur Tuesday with split kindergarten and first two grades schedules. Kindergarten enrollment requires five by Sept 15 1956 and first grade six by Nov 1 1956, with next year’s age date shifted to Sept 15. Continued on Page 8.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile plans a September 5 visit here with a goal of 125 pints and about 200 donors. Mrs. W. W. Bodager leads the local committee in recruiting donors at the First Aid Station in the Legion building during Homecoming.

Rules for merchants drawing for $1095 color TV
Merchants sponsors of the Rittman drawing announce the event at 8 30 p m Friday Aug 24 on American Legion grounds. The ticket holder must be present to win and if unclaimed a second number is drawn after 30 minutes until a winner is found. If no winner by that time the drawing continues Saturday evening. The winner may take the TV or 700 in cash script.

Rittman Homecoming Weekend Features TV Draw and Ford Victoria
Three nights of Rittman Homecoming unfold with August 23 events led by Grandmother's Kitchen Band. Friday sees a $1100 color TV drawing and a $700 cash option, plus Old Timers Band and a coffee maker drawing. Saturday features a 1956 Ford Victoria two door sedan draw, children's matinee, and nightly carnival rides and a Ferris wheel.
