The third annual Whippewa Lake picnic, sponsored by the Bittman Auto Club, drew hundreds for an all day event with sports prizes and a evening dance. Prizes included a leather rocker to Lazarus Basinger and a five pound box of chocolates to William Burbage as Bathing and dancing featured afternoon entertainment.

Health Camp Report From Dr Barrett
The camp opened June 25 and closed August 4. Twenty five children were cared for with 22 staying six weeks. All admitted were underweight. two girls reached normal weight. Every child gained weight, smallest 1 percent, largest 7 percent, average 2.2 pounds. Each child showed better color and health and learned about diet rest and hygiene. 60 Gallons of Real Booze Confiscated in Raid
In a raid on a house on Ohto Ave last Friday night Marshal Mills and Mayor Shackleford seized 60 gallons of real liquor and arrested Nikola Neucolosia. He pleaded guilty to possession of liquor and the mayor set a $40 fine plus $17 costs. The odor alerted authorities and prompted the arrest. The community hopes law enforcers continue to uphold Prohibition-era statutes.

Arrest Ends in Fine for Visiting Ex-Wife on Alcohol Charge
