Helicopters Join In Hunt For Local Woman Missing Since Sunday
The search for Mrs. Thelma Moore, 49, of Bauman Street, continues into the fourth day with no clues. She was last seen Sunday evening at the Rittman Cemetery after visiting neighbors. a despondent note was found at home and extensive searches by police, fire crews, and volunteers have included draining the cemetery lake and bloodhound tracking without success.

Rittman and Wadsworth City Councils named their representatives to a Water Supply Committee this week. From Rittman were Lewis K Burnett of Packaging Corporation of America City Manager Charles Mann and F O Kanehl. Wadsworth selections included Mayor Jack Sdmmer Service Director Lee Kraft and Councilman Robert Gairing. The panel will survey water sources study dam site soil tests and financing needs to buy land and build a reservoir between the cities, with the Chamber of Commerce leading the effort.

The annual White Elephant Sale by the Rittman Booster Club will be held August 25 starting at 6 pm on the Recreation Hall grounds. Co-chairs Neil Milford and Jay Rohrer note both new and used merchandise in excellent condition. Three Involved In Accidents In Rittman Weekend
Three Rittman men were involved in weekend accidents. Romey Dishman was admitted to Wadsworth Municipal Hospital after his car ran into a ditch on Route 604 near Route 4. He was released the next day. Another collision on Ohio 94 east of Rittman involved Herman Likens and Jennings Noble with little damage.

Define Law On Cigarette Sale In Rittman
Rittman residents complain merchants refuse to sell cigarettes to anyone under 18 citing a law enforced locally. The statute prohibits selling or furnishing cigarettes wrappers substitutes or tobacco to under 18 with fines from 25 to 100 dollars and 2 to 30 days jail for first offenses. Subsequent offenses carry higher fines up to 100 dollars and longer jail terms.
