Community Picnic a Success in Rittman
Rittman’s annual community picnic drew 598 tickets as 10 large buses carried crowds to Summit Beach. Extra transport was added to prevent crowding while local officials managed parking. A preschool clinic for children entering school in September was also announced for Tuesday with free examinations by county health staff and state doctors, appointments offered 9:30 to 4.

The Waggamon Rook reunion gathered at Mrs Irvan Musser's home on August 1 with song and prayer by Rev Jennie Metzger. Highlights included solos by Mrs Madeleine Rook Wertz and a duet by Mrs Irvan Musser and Mrs Glen Morrison, plus a reading of ancestral history by Mrs Mads Lethe Wert.
