The Legion Rifle club held its second shoot of 1929 at the range near Slippery Rock on Wednesday night. Scores ranged from 10 to 89 with the top percentages going to Poder-80, Gebhart-78, Noe-74, Looser-4, and Breece-62. This was Looser’s first trial and his score stood with the best. All plan to return next week as their averages remain strong. Membership is open to any American over 18. contact Keating, Chapman, or Breece if interested.
Clyde Kindig suffered a serious crush injury to the thumb and index finger while feeding a corrugated board into a machine. Fingers were caught between joints. recovery uncertain but potential for a stiff joint. He will miss athletic work at Defiance College for a time as Barberton Belvederes visit Sunday.
CC Gregg with Mr and Mrs Ho Clipplager and Walter Parsons attend Wooster Chautauqua last Thursday and Dee sed season ticket won for best letter explaining why Chautauqua benefits the community. From Chicago Mr Harry C Hau and his niece spent ten hours in the old town during a vacation. He loved renewing acquaintances with former schoolmates after ten years away. The party visited relatives in Ate Ron and nearby areas before continuing homeward Wednesday morning.
