Four Injured In Thursday Route Collision Near Wooster
A late Thursday crash on Route 5 involving Frank Watson Druth Webner Mary and William Balloon caused minor injuries and scratches. The Watson vehicle, traveling from Wooster to Kittman, collided with Junior Stevie of Anaroukilvine, forcing both cars off the road. William Balloon and Mary Laurin were knocked from the rear seats. Watson’s car suffered heavy damage. The group were en route to work and college. Balloon was able to return to Wooster Friday while others rested at home with bruises.

Oil for the streets plan rejected with self funding urged
Village officials said no peat oiling of cinder streets this year. If residents want the service they must pay themselves. Warren Lytle of Lytle Oil Co Wooster said his firm would supply oil if enough blocks were ready to require at least a tank truck. Money would be paid when oil is applied, collected by a responsible person in the council area. The cost would run about 2.50 per 60 foot lot where streets are built up solid.

Frank Kitts of Rittman arrested Friday night for intoxication and fined $3 plus costs. Bam Bersky of Rittman arrested Wednesday April 16 for intoxication and to be tried before acting mayor Frank Schulup Thursday night.
