What Henry W Grady Saw
A critique on South reliance on Northern and out-of-state goods contrasts a farmer life with homegrown North Carolina products. Grady notes repeated use of distant items from clothes to food, then highlights shifts toward locally made Guilford county products and North Carolina industries as a patriotic ideal. The piece, by J T Battle in Greensboro News, reflects on regional self sufficiency and economic patriotism.
