Indicted for Eating Molasses At Recorder's Court
An elderly man was charged with disposing of mortgaged property by consuming eight gallons of molasses and feeding twenty bushels of corn to his stock. Judge Dalton acquitted him due to illiteracy. Ralph Parker and his bride returned from their wedding trip and stayed with the groom’s brother on Hamilton Street.
