The High Point pageant of city schools will feature more than 1,600 pupils in a parade this afternoon at 2:00. Starting from Elm Street school at 1:45, the procession will travel down Main Street to the post office and Main Street school by 2:30, with mounted police aiding order.

Printer Loses His Life in Winston Fire
Lewis E. Mitchell 54 of this city died in the Winston fire that destroyed the Neil hotel where he boarded after going to Winston to work for Winston Printing Co. His remains were brought home for interment after funeral services at 4 p.m. Saturday from 208 West Russell Street. He had worked in the local printing trade for years and is survived by his wife two children and a stepson Samuel Mitchell, also a printer here.

A 14 year old Negro, Cole Lee, stole a Ford in Winston Saturday night and drove to Jamestown before abandoning it. Chief Gray recovered the vehicle near High Point and, with Chief Thomas of Winston, arrested the youth between here and Thomasville. Chas. P. Hedgecock, in his 60th year, died Sunday at home four miles north of the city from Bright's disease. Surviving wife and four children. funeral at Abbott's Creek Monday conducted by Rev. Neese Davis.
