Village Bonds Delivered for Refunding at Lower Interest
Sixty six thousand five hundred dollars in village bonds were signed Monday by the chairman and clerk and delivered to the county clerk for registration. The issue retires old bonds carrying four and a half to four and three four percent interest and replaces them with new one thousand dollar denominations at three and one fourth percent. The bonds are optional at any time allowing calls if rates drop or funds accumulate. Transfer occurs in the state auditor Ray Johnsons office. Wacob Bender Corporation of Omaha arranged the deal. The village will save about nine hundred forty dollars annually.
