Potter Community Boosters Hear Summer Faculty Trips
About 35 members attended the September Potter Community Boosters meeting at the Tebinke cafe. Supt A B Connell led an engaging program with faculty introductions and trips reports by Milsses Shaw Rohlfing and Mc Laughlin. The Potter Days committee thanked all for a successful celebration and noted funds roughly break even. The next meeting is set for October 4 at Stines cafe with program to be announced.

Unseasonably warm dry spell persists amid drought notes
Weather continues warm and dry with pasture and fall seedings in need of moisture. Light scattered showers occurred Thursday evening last week, Sunday afternoon, and Wednesday evening this week but rainfall was insufficient to ease the drought.
Physician duo takes over Kimsball hospital lease
Dr. A L Miller has leased his hospital at Kimsball to Dr C J Manganaro and Frank B E Lipp, both formerly of Omaha. Manganaro has worked with Miller for six months. Lipp, Creighton University 1934 graduate, is new to the panhandle and was Manganaro's classmate.

Joseph Henry Madden 75 former resident of this community died at his Dix home last Friday after two years of ill health. Funeral services were held at Dix Presbyterian Church. Body shipped to Diller Nebraska for burial. Portraits At Potter High School This Week
This week pupils visited dentists and physicians for a general health exam. Raymond Nelson of Hastings showed his pictures to the senior class and the class of 1939 bought their portraits. Nelson offered frames, memory books, and photography from California to New York. Mr McDonald of Severen's Ogallala displayed photos for the class of 1940. the class plans to decide soon on picture plans.
