Tularemia Case Reported In Potter Woman
Mrs. Joe Jensen of Potter is treated at Roche hospital for tularemia, a rare disease from rabbits. She had skinning rabbits and feeding them to dogs, possibly exposing herself. Dr. Roche notes tularemia enters the blood and can cause glandular issues and prolonged fever. Mrs. Jensen’s condition was described as favorable yesterday morning.

Arthur T. Harms, 48, respected Scribner area resident, died Friday in a Sidney hospital after a long illness. Born July 26, 1890, he married Freida Wiekhorst in 1911 and had four children. He farmed in Dodge County, lived in Potter since 1928, and worked for Linn Implement. funeral held at the Scribner home and Methodist church with Odd Fellows pallbearers. Forty Cars Wheat Shipped From Potter Area
Thirty six cars of wheat had been shipped out of Potter by Thursday noon with the total expected to reach forty by night. Elevator men report all wheat graded No 1 hard and quality remains exceptional. Price paid Thursday morning was 54 cents, a rate in effect most of the week. Much wheat stored in farm bins for government latk, Potter area may reach a 100 car crop this year, a full crop could bring 400 to 500 cars, harvest is estimated at 70 to 80 percent over.

Child Drowns in Tank Near Kimball Home
Lawrence Buddecky two years old drowned Thursday in a horse water tank at his home ten miles southwest of Kimball. He had been missing about fifteen minutes when his body was found floating in the tank. Firemen and a physician worked nearly three hours to revive him. Parents are Mr and Mrs Antone Buddecky.

Bank bandits Lipps and Howenn buried after Colorado robbery
Charles Kenneth Lipps, a bank bandit, was buried in a pauper’s grave at Sidney Nebraska with only a minister and Gehrig funeral home staff present. His companion Myron Earl Howenn was buried a day earlier in Denver. The pair robbed the Farmers Bank at Ft. Morgan Colorado on July 8. Lipps fell to police bullets at Sidney and Howenn at Garden City Kansas within 24 hours.
