The MBE Sunday school will present The Night of the Star pageant on December 23 at the church, with Santa, a Christmas tree and treats. Operetta Proves A Successful Event By Potter Students
An exceptionally large audience attended Tuesday evening for the operetta Goldilocks and the Three Bears performed by ninety grade school children under Mrs Lula Slocumb. High school members aided in between act specialties. The show was well trained, with cute costumes and artistic sets. The event was a success and those involved deserve public praise, with proceeds funding future school activities.

Byron Pavlat Returns From Short School
Byron Pavlat returned Sunday from Lincoln Nebraska where he attended a week long school for prospective insurance salesmen of the Continental National Life Insurance Company of Denver. He reports a worthwhile course in insurance salesmanship and information and has been appointed district manager for seven Panhandle Nebraska counties. The company is newly organized but already has an enviable record. the writer expresses confidence in Byron’s future success.

Snowy Week Brings Intermittent Flakes Across Region
A light snow of one to two inches blanketed the region last week with overcast skies persisting Wednesday. Snow fell Sunday and melted quickly, with a brief snow flare Monday and clearing Tuesday. Snow resumed Wednesday morning and continued through the day as temperatures remained moderate. Infant Son of Mr and Mrs Erickson Called Away
Norman Leo Erickson, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Erickson, died early Sunday morning, December 14, 1930, after a short illness from pneumonia and complications. He was two months and nine days old. Survived by his parents and siblings Arvilla and Milton. Funeral services were at the M. E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. H. E. Sorter officiating. Burial in Potter cemetery. Rice funeral home in charge.

Christmas Program Plans From Fourth to Eighth Grades
School notes report illnesses absences and classroom activities for fourth through eighth grades. Fourth and fifth graders rehearse a December 23 program featuring songs readings and dialogues including The Captured Santa Claus and The Night Before Christmas at the Spriggin's. Publication Schedule Adjusted For Christmas and New Year
The paper will publish two days early over the next two weeks due to Christmas and New Year. Next week and the following week will see Tuesday and Wednesday issues replacing the usual midweek and Thursday pages. Respondents and advertisers are asked to advance schedules by one day.

Potter Coyotes open season with win over Broadwater
The Potter Coyotes secured their first victory by defeating Broadwater on the local floor last Friday. Frosty Christensen opened scoring early, the lead held at 23-13 by halftime, and the Coyotes extended the margin to 14 points in the second half before subs played. Newspaper Men Mourn Frank J Pulver Editor of Peetz Gazette
The death of Frank J Pulver editor and owner of the Peetz Gazette brings sadness to newspaper men and the public in this region. He died in Denver on Thursday after heart trouble with funeral and burial held there Saturday. Pulver was a standout booster for the West and a successful father and community figure.

Potter Village Board Advances Refunding Bond Measure
The Potter Nebraska village board held an adjourned December meeting to hear objections to issuing twenty three thousand dollars in refunding bonds to retire twenty three bonds of five hundred dollars each from 1920 and twenty three from 1921 electric light bonds. Ordinance No. 56 was introduced authorizing the refunding bonds and setting the tax levy to pay interest and principal.
