Seven Injured In Car Accident East Of Potter
Six men and a three year old boy were injured when a car struck guard posts near the Point of Rocks bridge, shearing off posts and crashing into a ditch. Injured were Melvin Keppel and Grover Keppel plus L. C. Stevenson, Robert Keppel, and the driver D. S. Rogers. two other passengers were unhurt. The car, a new Plymouth, was en route to California for Davidson Motor Co. of Omaha. All recovered enough to continue their journey.

Cheyenne county was the only Nebraska county to exceed 1,000,000 bushels of wheat in 1934, per a 1935 Federal Farm Census preliminary report by William L. Austin. Drought reduced overall crops from 1929, with 1934 oats and barley down sharply, while corn and potatoes and hay and sorghum for forage rose acreages. Hog numbers fell. cattle and other cows rose. The 1935 figures are expected to show further wheat losses but higher corn.

In Omaha last week Jack Roach was arrested on charges as one of the Scottsbluff robbers. Pat King of Alliance and Clint Slick Dubois, also jailed, are part of the same quartet. King is serving time in eastern Nebraska for a January robbery. Mrs. Amna Z Palmberg died in San Francisco at 80, wife of the late John A Palmberg.
