After lengthy deliberation the Fairbanks unit contract was approved with government grants totaling 45 percent of the cost. The project includes a new switchboard and four air tanks plus related equipment, modernization to 100 percent efficiency, and anticipated start within weeks. The bid was controversial but deemed the best and lowest under consideration of standardization and economy. An auxiliary equipment package has already arrived and skilled workers will be employed for the specialized work.

Potter and nearby communities report only two scarlet fever cases among C P Heroldsheimer and Stanley ee families under guaranting. George Reetz and C C Kaderli are not infected. Gayland Reetz has flu, and a Kaderli girl had mild tonsillitis. Officials hope the epidemic is under control.
Irving Lueninghoener of Hooper Nebraska spent Sunday with relatives here. He left Monday.
Rev. Peter Munson of Pasadena accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Wm Helsing to Kimball Wednesday afternoon for an evening sermon.
Sunday evening December 22 1935 at 730 pm the Sunday day school presents a Christmas program. Participants include primary and beginners departments with songs readings and a pageant titled The Angels Message to the World. Rehearsals are planned for Saturday afternoon at 230 pm and all children without a part should attend 230 pm Saturday to practice a song.
Roscoe Lunger of Gibbon visited Potter on Monday for business matters. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Stecher and their son left Tuesday for Rochester Minnesota where Mr. Stecher will consult specialists about his health.
In a service and meeting in Townsend discourse, Rev J L Tyner of Sidney presented the Townsend Recovery Plan arguing for a monthly pension and widespread employment. The sermon addressed wealth distribution and economic reform while nearby obituaries and funeral details framed the day’s events.
Kred Reetz and his family prepare to depart for California for the winter to aid Mrs. Reetz health.
