County Board Actions and Petitions Include Appointments and School District Boundary Proposals
The board processed applications lacking required oaths and received petitions for road repairs in district No. 10. It ordered appointing S. A. Angell as road supervisor in Muddy Valley and J. L. Denton as Caliente constable, with bond. Ward law’s resignation as Searchlight JP was not accepted pending a successor petition. Panacea school district boundaries were clarified, and boundaries proposed for a new district. Clerk ordered mining district recorders’ books, Crescent township establishment discussed, and John Corkish’s assessment stricken. Electric power line proposal for Spring Valley to Caliente received. thirty-day public notice and August hearing date set. Funds transfer approved to cover certificates from Caliente road fund. Bids invited for county jail construction and cell installation, to be opened first Monday in August 1907.
