Crescent Mines Show Promising Ore Values Across Veins

In Crescent, Ike Reynolds opens a four foot ore shoot averaging 150 per ton with silver lead and some gold across the vein. Golden Crescent Develops Opal vein with 8 to 10 per ton and widening values. Jumbo on Searchlight shows two feet of pay rock and permanent shipment potential. Ajax Bullfrog reports three feet of shipping ore at 200 feet level, driving a 150 foot drift. Standish uncovers Nevada Crescent ore at 200 per ton with plans for deepening and eventual shipments.

Pioche Plans a Grand Fourth of July Celebration 1907

An enthusiastic Pioche meeting in the court room outlines plans for a major July 4 celebration. Chairman J D Campbell leads a representative turnout as committees on finance arrangements sports and music are named with toasts and contests planned including a drilling contest and a substantial prize purse.

Bound Over To Grand Jury In Assault Case

The preliminary hearing of C. H. Rogers for assault with intent to kill occurred before Justice Garrison. Defense sought reduction to aggravated assault, but the court bound Rogers over to the grand jury on the original charge with $1000 bond. The state presented substantial corroborated evidence. Pioche Bank, also named Bank of Pioche Inc, opens Tuesday at 9 AM after over twenty years without a local bank. J F Tolton and Geo C Whitmore lead the board with M C Fitzpatrick cashier, aiming to grow capital beyond the current 25000 paid up.

Important Sale of Rich Copper Claims Louise Wird Mines

Jas E Price and Alex Orr owners of the Louise and Wird Copper mines in Blind Mountain Mining District have leased and bonded the claims for 15000 dollars. The Louise shaft reaches about 50 feet with copper values increasing with depth. Ore samples from surface and shaft show strong copper values and an immense, rich body is expected. Work will begin immediately with ore blocked out for shipping soon.

Work On Georgia Pioche Mines Reported Satisfactory Progress

Manager D C Mahedy reports progress on Georgia Pioche properties east of town with crews and a shaft planned to depth. On Columbia Piobe near Half Moon a 100 foot shaft will connect to the surface with a cross cut, while a surface value is expected at ten dollars. Kr Anderson, controlling factor, will visit Pioche next week bringing an automobile for use in ventures and plans for further development with major holders joining soon.

Portland Capital For Probe Mines

Chester L. Proebster has purchased the Knobbi group of claims from H. C. Harmond for Portland interests. A mining company will be formed to operate the four full claims and a fraction in the Ely Mining District near Pioche. Assays average 125.07 per ton. Proebster left for Portland to organize the corporation and plan development.

RailRoad Camp Advances Toward Panaca And Pioche

Reports say the Pioche Caliente railroad construction has cleared the Barton field swamp and reached Panaca with next steps toward Ballionville. A tracklayer will cut ground and begin operation, with plans to extend toward Panaca shortly. There is rumor of transferring men and supplies from the Goldfield line to speed the Prcebe reach.

Rich ore strike reported at Iron Crown No 3 mine

Joe Taylor of the X Ray visits town as a large, near surface body of heavy ore is revealed on Iron Crown No 3 claim. The discovery follows prior assessment work on Iron Crown No 8 with the vein extending deeper and promising substantial values.

Marble Discovery Near Pioche Prompts Local Venture

Fine marble specimens found in Blind Mountain Mining District by W. S. Couch are exhibited at Judge Breeze's Pioche office. A new corporation formed by Judge John M. Breeze J A Nesbitt W S Couch Hans Olson and Dr W W Stockham plans quarry carve and market the marble for profit once a railroad is completed.

Lincoln-Nevada Mining opens new office and mine upgrades

The Lincoln-Nevada Mining Company nears completion of a spacious 28 by 40 foot office east of town, with living quarters for the manager. Development at the Daly East mine advances, a graded road to haul new machinery is underway, and plans mention a 10 stamp mill. Walker Lee is named company president and will oversee upcoming work.

School Entertainment Sets Brilliant Tone for Year End

Thompson hall hosted a school evening packed with songs recitations dialogues and a praised broom drill by twelve girls. Hon Chas Lee Horsey opened with remarks praising teachers Miss Callshan and Mrs Sawyer while Mamie Orr led a touching gift to Mrs Sawyer reflecting strong pupil teacher bonds.
