Deepening Prospect Sparks Mining Boom In Searchlight District

Ore Ready For Shipment As Mines Rapidly Expand

Manager Owen Speer of the Demijohn-Proche Mining Company states ore bodies are exposed and being loaded for shipment. The firm has consolidated properties including the Lucky Boy Group, with the Demijohn Group led by the Demijohn mine, signaling a promising mineral territory. C. C. Miller reports improvement in Fay mining area and a Fourth of July meeting is urged for Monday night.

Nevada Utah Mining Firm Installs New President

Geo W Learnard of New York elected to succeed Col John Weir as head of the Nevada Utah Mining and Smelting Corporation. A June 10 meeting will elect a new board and approve acquisition of new property possibly in Pioche signaling larger scale work. The outgoing Weir is praised for driving district development. Learnard is described as an energetic mining expert with modern ideas.

Prince mine progress at Bullionville shows strong development

The Prince mine known as Bullionville shows rapid expansion with a 40 hp gasoline engine foundation and a shaft reaching 100 feet. The vein averages sixty feet wide with extensive drift work planned to reach 800 feet, supporting large future tonnage for smelting using tailings at Bullionville operated by Phoenix Reduction Company.

Bank Opens Tuesday Pioche Welcomes New Bank

Bank of Pioche, Inc. will open for business Tuesday morning at Q o'clock as Pioche ends a twenty year gap without a bank. Local residents and merchants anticipate new financial services and employment with the new institution led by cashier Fitzpatrick.

Wages Rise at Clark's Mine in Bristol Idaho

Rapid shaft sinking at Ida May mine owned by Butte and Bristol Copper Mining Company shows strong progress. Manager John A. Ryan reports increased output and a new wage schedule with higher pay for engineers shaft men blacksmiths and miners as 28 workers push forward plans to expand crew and facilities.

Gasoline Hoist For Mendah Mine Advances

The Mendha Nevada Mining Company reports completion of a boarding house four rooming houses a gallows frame and foundation for a 40 horsepower gasoline engine all prepped for ore extraction. Sleeping quarters will house at least fifty workers and ore is piled on the dump ready for hoisting to surface once the apparatus is finished. The mine plans to ship once the Bullionville railroad is ready and aims for a daily carload. Broker Ellsworth visited Caliente Thursday on office business.

Bristol Pioche Mines Co Formed and Officers Elected

The Bristol Pioche Mines Company is organized with S. W. Vance as president and Louis Schizenger as vice president. W. W. Dunn is secretary and treasurer, with H. C. Rowley and H. D. Fisher as directors. The firm owns Copper Blossom property in the Bristol District and seeks extensive surface and underground prospecting to reveal high grade silver and copper ore in the Pine area.

Ohio capitalist visits Pioche mining prospects look promising

Mr. C. K. Hershey fiscal agent of the Lincoln Nevada Mining Company visits Pioche with his wife. He praises conditions at Daly East and expects a ten stamp mill soon. Gasoline hoist installation and more workers planned. Hershey plans to move from Mansfield to Los Angeles for proximity to mining interests. County dads meet Monday to address county troubles and finances. Real estate activity remains steady with quiet, substantial movements and new temporary homes tied to railroad progress.

Great West Mine Sold During Pioche Visit

President Chas S Miller of the Boston and Pioche Mining Co completed the purchase of the Great West mine in the Highland Mining District from John G Brown of Pioche for 1500 dollars. Other purchases were made as the Boss mine near town advances with shaft sinking and shop construction signaling strong activity and expected productivity on the porphyry dyke.
