McKinley Shot At Pan American Exposition
Leon Czolgosz, a Cleveland man, shot President William McKinley during a public reception at the Temple of Music on the Pan American Exposition grounds Buffalo. The President lay in a dangerous condition as doctors rushed to treat two bullets, one near the chest and another in the abdomen, while a mob surrounded police headquarters awaiting updates.
