The M E Sunday School of Laurelville held its annual picnic at John A McClelland’s grave on August 28 with wide attendance. Speakers included Orndorf Baker and Fetherolf all ministers. W C Harris managed local livery services and Goo Williamson with wife left for Buffalo to attend the Exposition. Edwin Hesler returned from Arkansas to Olin after three years away.

George Hawkins died in a street car accident in Toledo as he stood on the steps with his family aboard. A car on an opposite track struck him in the head, killing him instantly, and a coroner’s inquest followed.
