McKinley Dies. Roosevelt Becomes President Today
President McKinley died on Saturday morning at 2 15 after Thursday’s collapse. Vice President Roosevelt rushed to Buffalo but arrived too late to see him alive and was immediately sworn in as president. The nation mourns as God’s will is done.
