Union County Sheriff Accounts 1916 Tax Settlements
Board of County Commissioners audited and allowed the J W Griffith sheriff accounts for 1916 taxes. Records show Brown Creek and Prospect School Funds with Dr entries for property taxes at 1916 rates, poll taxes, and bank receipts from Farmers and Merchants Bank dated March and May 1917, plus 3.80 percent commissions on collections.
