College survey on rape perceptions shows wide gaps by age and gender
A Time CNN and Lee College analysis reveals large gender and age gaps in views of blame in rape scenarios. Across 18 to 25, 26 to 35, and 36 to 49 groups, men and women differed markedly on whether a woman is partly to blame for provocative dress, entering a man’s room, or past sexual encounters, with overall Time CNN scores much lower than college results.
