Regents Seek New Lee College President Leader Search Moves Ahead
Regents plan an international ad in The National Chronicle of Higher Education inviting applicants for Lee College chief executive officer and president. ACCT will run the search with a $15,800 fee plus travel and advertising costs as Feb 1992 resumes are reviewed and finalists chosen for a July 1, 1992 start.

Campus launches pilot paper recycling on LC campus
A pilot paper recycling program began on the LC campus and a January faculty in service agenda includes an orientation on recycling. Laura Scheff, the shipping clerk, and Administrative Services Dean Dennis Topper with the Faculty Assembly recycling committee lead the effort. The plan targets labs and busy paper areas with emphasis on education and campus wide expansion after last year’s recycling seminar in Orlando. BFIs Browning-Ferris Industries partners assist with training and coordinating student volunteers and recycling coordinators, with broader district and school system involvement in Pasadena and Galveston regions.

Gene Green to Speak at University Symposium Today
State Senator Gene Green will address the Symposium on Public Affairs in the Moser Hall game room at 12 15 p m. The event is sponsored by the Student Congress and the Young Democrats. Green, a Houston native, served seven Texas House terms before election to the Senate in 1985.
