Kent Electric Company of Ravenna Michigan won a contract to build 13.2 miles of three phase distribution lines for Lorain Medina Rural Electric Cooperative from a new Webster Road substation to areas east of Litchfield and routes 83. The bid priced at 202,276 dollars plus 75,340 dollars of material, funded by the Rural Electrification Administration and the National Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation. The project serves 7,100 members across Lorain, Medina, Ashland, Huron and Wayne counties, with completion targeted for October.
