An Oregon man, Timothy Nielsen, 43, of Gresham, was found guilty on two counts of menacing by stalking and one count of importuning for soliciting sexual activity from a Brunswick girl. He received four and a half years in prison plus five years post-release control and must register as a tier 1 sex offender. He traveled from Oregon to Brunswick to meet a local minor after following and contacting her on social media.

The four week average of initial unemployment claims in Ohio is 12019. Initial claims have stayed above 10000 weekly since Nov 19. Continued claims rose statewide to about 46500 for the week ending Dec 17, up 3700 from the prior week. The trend, starting in late October, shows ongoing increases.
