Medina businesses and agencies will close Friday as Winter Storm Elliott moves through Northeast Ohio. The National Weather Service forecasts 3 to 5 inches of snow with gusts over 45 mph and wind chills of minus 20 to minus 30. Public Transit and Veterans Service Office will not operate, and several churches and shops shift to indoor services and closures.

Reindeer visit brings families to El Taco Loco in Brunswick
Families gathered to see reindeer Chet and Joy near El Taco Loco in Brunswick as a holiday event. Brunswick Council backs five station fire bond for May ballot

Medina County Jobless Claims Fall Again
Medina County initial unemployment claims dropped to 150 for the week ending December 17, 76 fewer than the prior week, keeping the four week average above last week’s level at about 193. Lorain County posted 293 claims, down 61 from the previous week, while Ohio statewide claims fell by 1,815 to 11,262 for the same week.
