Medina police seek two 20 year old men about 5 feet 10 inches tall 130 pounds suspected in the murder of 18 year old Open Pantry clerk Sherman found beaten to death near a Montville ditch. Lawson's Milk Co. offers a 5000 dollar reward. Police earlier questioned two other suspects and released them.
Hills Trustees asked the State Liquor Control to investigate the Blue Knight Lounge at Pearl and Grafton for possible minor sales and after hours violations. They said police will patrol the area over complaints of excessive parking lot noise.
Lodi board of public affairs meets at 5 p m Thursday in the Electric Department office to discuss extending water and sewer lines on Vandemark Road. Next regular meeting set for September 5 at 7 30 p m. The Ohio Department of Liquor Control issued carryout liquor permits to two Brunswick businesses. Fortune's Pic A Pop at 831 Pearl Rd and LMC Inc. at 1680 Pearl Rd were approved for sale of high powered beer and wine for carry-out.
A Strongsville man Anthony Amato 21 of 8380 Pearl Rd is to appear in Municipal Court Thursday on charges of reckless operation of a powerboat and leaving the scene of an injury accident. His boat allegedly slammed into a sailboat in Lake Erie off Vermilion Aug 12 shearing the mast and collapsing the cabin.
A Brook Park man Curtis, 25, and woman Holly Carpenter were injured in a motorcycle car collision on Weymouth Road in Granger Township Tuesday. Both were treated at Medina Community Hospital and released. Driver Lester Manzano, 20, of Brecksville and his four passengers were uninjured. Manzano cited for failure to yield.
