Lionel Melendez 39, of Spencer Lake Road, is dead after a lightning strike sparked a fire that destroyed the barn and killed a pony and rabbits. His wife Margaret and two of their eight children were in or near the barn. she pulled him from flames. Fire damage estimated at 15000 dollars.
