The Ladies' Aid Society of the Christian church met at Mrs. Neely's home Thursday afternoon. They presented Mrs Geo Clark with a linen table spread as a token of regard. Ice cream and cake were served.
Bert Frisbie Phillip Thiebolt J A Kelley Milton Fry and Walter Pitts have returned from the Big Hern Basin trip. The last three filed on homesteads under the government irrigation ditch. Frisbie stopped at Wood River Fry at Hershey Pitts at St Paul to visit relatives.

A Nebraska farmer rode to the county attorney's home to demand arrests for road workers violating the Sabbath. The attorney was busy, and others were unavailable. Frustrated, the farmer planned to fetch a constable, but learned the horses were in town for a baseball game and his wife was canning. He gave up, drank cider, and went fishing.
Mrs. Engelbred and her daughter who had lived since spring with their son and brother on the Greenwood farm west of Diller left Monday to join their husband and father in Dyer Indiana. They had spent several days in town with Christ Kielsmeier’s family.
A.O. O. W. and M. W. A. lodges will hold a meeting immediately after the early closing on Saturday evening September 7 1907 at their hall. The session will hear the joint picnic committee report and decide on a joint two day picnic next year.
