Mr and Mrs F L Spear returned from Topeka visiting relatives and stopped in Kansas City where Mr Spear bought goods for the holiday season. The White Piano Co ends music store in Diller with sales manager W S Foster and wife returning to Fairbury. Fairbury youth Harry Rigdon who found a bottle while botanizing last April and disposed of it into the river has recently received a letter from Ruggsit Norway where the bottle had floated.
Henry Kunter and his wife of Central City Colorado arrived Friday for a visit with relatives and friends. Kunter is connected with the Golden Bale store and plans to go to the St Louis market.
Wm M Diets of Gilbertville Otsego County proclaims Dr King’s New Discovery the most popular remedy and best friend to his family. He asserts it cures coughs and colds quickly and has become essential in their household.

F E Hale is chosen to replace him and will begin buying next week. He plans to move his family to town later. Ed Henriche of Harbine Bank drove from Beatrice with a sick horse, left it at the feed barn, and it died after the morning.
One of the State Fair’s top features last year was the race between guideless pacer Dr Tom and guideless trotter Garena. Both animals display machine like precision with no sulky or driver, each boasting impressive records of 2.083 and 2.101 respectively and they are slated to race again at the 1907 fair.

The Fairbury Gazette notes D R Kelley as a founder of Diller and owner of the early ret house now called the Emerson store room. It states Kelley built the house about thirty two years ago and watched the town grow to eight hundred. The store was moved in 1880 to the west side of the new Colman hotel.
