Widifield Jesper Love son of Percy and Sally Jewel Long born near Newark Indiana October 2 1866 died at home in McDonald Kansas October 1 1948 a few hours before his eighty second birthday. Funeral services were held at the McDonald Federated Church with interment at the local Cemetery. He leaves a wife a son Clarence two daughters Bertha Jansen and Florence Stark and many relatives. Also noted are Dan Garton placing second in the Jefferson County Corn Hoisting Contest with Floyd Hasse winning and Gilbert Ruling third, plus a women’s winner Mrs Frank Graves.

M. C. Neighborly Neighbors Club met with Mrs Melvin Nelson on Tuesday Oct. 12. Breakfast Family Affair was the demonstration lesson by Mrs. Ward Finch and Mrs. Robert Faxon. Samples of pancakes crepe suzettes and potato pancakes were enjoyed.
