J W Fouts reports recent farm transfers including E A Wagonaar eighty acres north of Diller sold to W H Hutton of Pawnee City Nebraska for 45 per acre. P B Reeves eighty acres old Peter Remley farm to W J Burton of University Place for 2800. Washington Stewarts 120 acres to W J Paspisii of Sprague Nebraska for 6005. Sales follow 1500 circulars sent last September with buyers presenting circulars.
Mr and Mrs Chas Monasmith and three sons came home Thursday night after visiting relatives in Humboldt Pawnee City and nearby areas. Floyd and Dell Monasmith went to Fairbury for a brief trip. Road work continues in the vicinity and many large boys are away from school to learn corn husking. May Remley returned from Steele City where she had been sewing. Blanche Logan visited Steele City on Friday. Winnie Acton attended a Reading Circle event in Steele City Saturday afternoon. Dugan moved his house to a eastern farm location and will enlarge it for occupancy by O Savage. Mrs Jones and daughter returned from Wymore Thursday evening.

Longtime Jefferson county commissioner J D McCord died Saturday morning of paralysis and was buried Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Fairbury. Henry Hansmire of Buckley precinct was appointed by Judge Boyle and officials to fill the vacancy until the next general election. The district court noted a transcript in State vs Chas Crooks with two charges including alleged abuse of a four year old, set for January hearing.
Mr Wm P Friday and Mies Cora M Greenwood both of this city were married by the county judge at his office in Fairbury at 11 am Wednesday October 18 1905. The couple are well known in Diller with Friday son of Anton Friday and Greenwood's daughter of Mrs L Greenwood. They will reside in the Osborn property the groom had furnished. The Record joins friends in wishing them joy.
