Local Notes on Bootleg Shortages and Community Happenings
Jesse Colman visited Diller briefly on Wednesday. Reports say large stills were found and shut down in Milligan Omaha and Fremont in recent days. Mr and Mrs John Greider with Dr Diehl hunted pheasants near Wood River last Thursday night and returned with their quota. A new basketball court is being installed in Loock store room this week improving athletic space though not ideal. Admiral Bird’s seven month vigil near the South Pole reads like a grand stand play to a Nebraska town.
