The season for pheasant hunting in certain counties opens next Thursday. Other notes mention Mr and Mrs Harvey Garrel near Albers welcoming an eight pound girl, and people visiting Western to see friends.
Attorney J C Hartigan of Fairbury spent Monday as a Dilfer business caller. Farmers Shipping Assn lists stock bound for St Joe market on Tuesday. Mrs Herb Barber recovers well after illness last week. J A Hughes of Denver visited, returning home Saturday. Mr and Mrs cor Frakie Vee Sodoe attend church, drawing Hank closer to cafe opening. Dr Paak and family visit. Albert Miller and wife attend Sunday church with Rev Ludwick.

A derailed Burlington train near Wymore overturned after colliding with a wedged Ford. engineer Leonard Finley and fireman Fred Rainey died in the May 964 crash. W. H.
