The Diller volunteer fire department sponsored a benefit movie titled The Fire cee during fire prevention week, drawing good attendance. Local families including Harold Grone and relatives visited, while Dr. S B Wiers sustained a broken finger from a car crank incident and now wears a splint after X rays.

Nellie Green of Lincoln spent no weekend with Diller relatives. Dr and Mrs Claude Ellis returned Wednesday from western Kansas where they own land. The little daughter of Alva Negus near Diller is ill. G B Pearce traveled to Savannah Missouri to consult about possible cancer on his lower lip.

Local Social Club Notes From Lincoln Visit

R W Green and Herb Beck traveled with a motor party to Lincoln and planned a return today. The N R C Club gathered at Mrs Henry Frisbie's home in the afternoon with Jer Wieden Peal and Mrs Ane Steiner highlighted as skilled attendees. Eleven members, five children and seven visitors attended. Refreshments were served at the close.
