Frederick Wrigley Cracked Shinbone Incident at School
Frederick Wrigley son of Mr and Mrs John Wrigley lived one mile south of Harbine sustained a cracked shinbone and other leg injuries last Thursday when struck on the shin by a motor cycle footguard operated by student Marvin Clancy six miles east of town. He was taken to Beatrice for medical care, his limb cast and crutches allow him to return to school in his junior year.

Death of George Hollenberger at Benkelman Nebraska
Mrs. W I Filley received word Tuesday of her brother George Hollenberger death at Benkelman Nebraska. He had operated in Benkelman in the jewelry business for years. Formerly a Burlington railroad station agent and once in business at Western Nebraska. He was about 70. Mr and Mrs Filley plan to leave for Benkelman Thursday morning.

Navy Band Matinee Draws Diller Students In Beatrice
More than forty students and teachers from Diller high school travel to Beatrice for matinees by the United States Navy Band. Diller’s Mari lyn Miller will perform baton routines at both grade school and high school shows, with Marilyn also appearing at 2:30 and 4:00 after winning a baton contest in Hastings last August. A two column picture of Marilyn from the Legion convention appeared in the Beatrice Daily Sun October 6. Mari lyn is drum major of the Diller Municipal Band and a skilled spare drummer.
