Community mourns the sudden passing of Mr. Frank Eick who died Friday afternoon while working at the Congregational church. He had been downtown a short time earlier and appeared in his usual good health. His obituary appears in these columns.
Jordeniog buys the west side brick building on Main Street to use as his main store and locker. The property was formerly owned by Francis Clark who operated a store there. Burial plans note Melva Carrico and family, with funeral service held in Lincoln. Charles Barber died after weeks of illness at his Diller home. obituary to follow next week.

George Francis Eick born in Milledgeville Illinois August 285 S68 passed September 28 1945 in Diller Nebraska. He lived most of his life in Illinois and Iowa with parents later moving to near Diller Nebraska where he grew to manhood. He married Alice Gear October 11 1897 and had three children. He served as Deacon and church board member at Congregational Church later merged to United Church. Services held October 1 1945 at Congregational Church with burial at Prairie Home Cemetery. Card of thanks expresses family gratitude for support during loss.
