The J N C Club met on Wednesday November 14 with members and guests including Mrs Rudolph Hubka Mrs Earl Weigle Mrs Frank Carpenter Mrs Allan Folker Mrs Henry Shale Mrs Orville Richardson Mrs Susan Brandt Miss Idella Champ Miss Jola Fasnacht and Gladys Hays and pupils after school A guessing contest won by Mrs Rudolph Hubka The afternoon featured card games with high scores by Mrs McKinley Bowen and Mrs Orville Richardson Delicious refreshments followed The next meeting is December 12 with Mrs Harm Hulls and Christmas box gift exchange.
An all day meeting at Ina Hill's home on November 23 featured potluck dishes, a noon dinner prepared by Mrs Hill with help from Opal Glathar, quilting in progress, and a post lunch business meeting. Members exchanged names to give small gifts and planned to meet Iris Mason on December 14 for the next gathering.
Fourteen members and one guest Mrs Willis Clark met November 21 at Mrs John Carrico home. Activities included a cranberry race a gown year guessing contest a stone contest and word invention games with prizes awarded to Mrs Andrews. Lunch by Mrs Carico and Mrs Ko. Next gathering December 5 hosted by Mrs A A Eick.
The Bethel school Hot Lunch Club held a meeting on November 6, 1934 to elect officers. The minutes note the election results and the plan for the club's first meeting.
Congregational Church announces Sunday School at 10 A M led by S W Snyder. Rev Phillip C Scott from Lincoln will preach again next Sunday morning during the regular church hour.
St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran near Diller holds Sunday School at 9 30 English services 10 30 Luther League 7 30. Next Sunday is annual business meeting for the Sunday School with officer elections and other business. After services the envelope system of finances will be discussed as a trial. League meets this Sunday due to rain.
Rev. Robert E. Drew leads December sermons at the Methodist Church on the Parables of Jesus with Sunday School at 10 A M and morning worship. Mrs vo M Cavett assists as planned in the service schedule.
Clarence Henrichs presided as members gathered for a hot lunch club meeting. Catherine Barnett and Alice Henrichs joined the demonstration team and were named to the program committee for the next meeting while Donella LePoidevin and Dale Lottman were selected for the committee.
Mr and Mrs L M Cavett visited Blue Springs to spend a day with Mr and Mrs Charles Cavett and son Harold. They attended a Thanksgiving service at the Presbyterian church and shared a dinner at the Cavett home three miles east. Charles Cavett and Martha B Cavett are third cousins with no known blood link to L M Cavett. The remanages trace through the Bixby family on Mrs Cavett's mother's side.

A Young People’s Rally in Blue Springs is Friday November 30 with ten delegates from the society and car pooling organized by Mr Drew. Last Sunday Elizabeth Green led a discussion on prayer and Thanksgiving noting prayers should seek guidance and give thanks to God as the Pilgrims did.
