Saturday June 14 is flag day with local activities noted. County commissioners plan a meeting on June 3. Clarence Hiatt sent hogs to Kansas City and Farmers Grain Co. shipped hogs to St. Joe. Merle Johnson apprentices in John Pulec's shop. Lincoln visitors Mr and Mrs Dougherty and Mr and Mrs Grone spent Monday with the Nippert home. Pleasant Hill Club Holds Pleasant Afternoon at Mrs Roseman

Beatrice Boosters Plan Two Day Goodwill Tour

The Beatrice Junior Chamber of Commerce boosters tour is set for June 4 and 5. Thirty cars and about 75 boosters will visit fifty towns, traveling 397 miles and arriving in Diller at 7 05 PM on the first day for a 15 minute stop.

4-H Pig Club Forms Low-Litter Group in Beaman Area

The Diller View Low-Litter 4-H Pig Club met May 19 at Wayne Henrichs home to organize. Officers named include Pres Wayne Henrichs Vice Pres Arnold Henrichs Sec Gilbert Plager and Reporter Theodore Henrichs. Members listed include Bauford Henrichs and Erwin Fanders with Fanders as leader and Henrichs as assistant. Next meeting set at Ted Henrichs home May 30 at 7 P M. Beaman Smith aided in organizing and led games after the meeting.

Diller Family Affected by Decoration Day Closures

George Fisher met friends in Odell on Monday. Laurice Diller, son of J Smith Diller, sprained his right arm Tuesday after a swing fall at their home. The Diller post office stores and banks will close today due to Decoration Day observance.

Nellie Isabel Frisbie and L DeVere Hale were married May 28 1980 in a ceremony led by Rev Wm R Velte at a Methodist church with about fifty guests. The bride wore bing georgette over old rose, carried a bouquet of roses. bridesmaid Gladys Hays wore robin blue georgette. A reception followed with pink and white decor. out of town guests included families from Brush Council Bluffs and Fairbury. The couple will reside in Colorado where the groom works as an automotive electrician.

NCA Club Meeting Hosts Social Before Summer Break

Mrs S C Hutchinson led the NCA on Wednesday May 21 with 11 members present. Guests included Mrs Ludwick Mrs Herman Albers and Miss Radical Viers. They plan to close the club for summer and hold a picnic before the September meeting. prizes were won in guessing contests and readings were performed. Shower Honors Miss Pearl Diller in Lavender and Yellow

Mrs John Gerth and Miss Grace Hannan hosted a bridal shower for Miss Pearl Diller at Mrs Gerth's home. Guests hemmed tea towels as gifts were announced by alarm clocks.
