Lew Finding suffers tonsillitis and Chas Barber is confined to bed with bronchitis. The new Rock Creek M church was to have been dedicated last Sunday afternoon. Miss Letha Mayborn of Beatrice visits this week with her grandparents Mr and Mrs A Mayborn.
Local ad from Cornbelt Lumber Co at Diller Nebraska promotes a nine strand hay rake claiming it out wears two three strand tools. In other news Miss Vivian Wills, Jones' Summer Shows director, visits Diller as guest of her cousin Lawrence Caldwell and family.

Reverend W. L. eee, pastor of the Zion church eight miles north of Diller and successor to Reverend C. Pehler, has tendered his resignation and, with his family, is moving to Bridgeport, Nebraska.
Mr and Mrs J L Packard and Mr and Mrs Wayne Packard with their children and Misa Edith Patton, a state university student from Lincoln, visited the Patton home. Edith and Mrs Wayne Packard stayed through Sunday while Gordon Patton hosted the remainder of the week.

Area residents George and Mary Banahan visit Diller on business, W S Filley trades in a new Chevrolet, DeVere Hale begins a Brush home, Earl seeks a specialist, and Robert Diller vacationing in Lincoln with his parents.
Farmers in the locality faced replanting a portion of corn due to poor harvests caused by heavy rains and a yeast formed in the fields. Attendees at the funeral of Lucille McCallum included Mr. and Mrs. Geo Riddle and Mrs. Nancy Robertson among others, with burial at Oaks Cemetery following services.
Bernice Lala Calkins and Leonard Frisbie were married Sunday June 1 1930 at four o clock in Diller Nebraska Rev Lodwick officiated in a ceremony attended by about fifty guests A program featured Sage Gudgel of Gresham on Lohengrin and flower girls Beluah and Beatrice D Dunn The couple will live on a farm southwest of Diller after a short honeymoon Mr and Mrs Frisbie are residents of Diller with families noted in attendance.

Miss Nellie Green of Sonia and Miss Marguerite Green of Fremont spent Decoration time with relatives and enjoyed the Jones Shows, staying until Sunday.
Antone Saathoff of six miles south and one west of Diller was brought home from a Fairbury hospital last week. He is confined to his bed most of the time and not much benefited by the care received.
The NCR ladies met Thursday of last week with Mrs. Fred Frisbie. They shared a covered dish and enjoyed company together. Attendees included Mrs. Veith, Mrs. Ray, Hilda, and M. D. Rich, among others.
The Diller Commercial Club committee led by C Hutchinson and Dr Viers met Tuesday with county commissioners at Fairbury seeking action on gravelling North and South Pillar roads. After about two hours the officials remained reticent about taking current steps despite a lengthy petition filed months ago.
