Child narrowly escapes injuries in street truck incident

Birth of Date Raymond to Davis family in Chicago

N C S A Hobby Club Holds Mothers Day Meeting
The N C S A ladies met at Mrs H K Shutt s home on May 7 for an afternoon of quotations on Mothers Day. Ten members attended with Mrs Carrico and Mrs Robertson winning in a couple contest and Mrs Nelson excelling in the story writing contest. Lengthy Gage County official F E Lenhart Dies
F E Lenhart long time clerk of the district court in Gage County died Sunday at his Beatrice home from self administered cyanide sulphate. An inquest showed ill health prompted the act. He once organized a juvenile orchestra active in the state and on radio. He was a prominent Mason and Elks member and was a candidate for reelection.

Gas pipeline roading through Diller area near Amarillo to Chicago
A Continental Construction Co representative was purchasing right of way Wednesday near Diller for a gas pipeline extending from Amarillo to Chicago. The line will run northeast about two miles west of Diller and enter the county roughly four miles west of God Crossing into residential land.

Chel Shelly Dies in Fairbury. Masons Conduct Burial
Chel Shelly died at his home in Fairbury on Saturday and was buried by the Masonic fraternity on Monday afternoon. He had recently returned from Florida for his health. Shelly, with his father Lew and brother Max, was involved in publishing the Fairbury News.
