Church notices list S S Sunday school at 10 o clock conducted by superintendent W H Plager of St Pauls Ev Lutheran near Diller with weekly services and activities noted.
Rev Robert A Helms leads Sunday School at 10 with preaching at 11. Evening service at 7 30. Missionary meeting Friday at Mrs Riddle's home led by Mrs Mary Green. Keystone Kensington ladies meet April 7 at Mrs H A Bell's home.
Sunday School attendance rose after a prior dip. Dr Hinson to lead Easter services with Dr Hipson renowned as a speaker. Easter program planned for April 16 with a district superintendent present. Local notes include spelling contest in Fairbury, travel updates, and business exchanges at Green's cafe and Milow's drug store.
Volume 47 number 1 notes 46 years and 2392 issues of the Diller Record, with hopes for fifty years under current editor and publisher. It mentions village and school elections next Tuesday April 4, subscribership updates, local visits, and the first chapter of a new story The Silver Flute appearing inside.

Mr and Mrs V A Raymond and Donna Jane and of Lincoln spent Saturday night and Sunday with Diller relatives the Greens and Raymonds in a weekend visit.
Evelyn Bettin of Dist. 89 won first in the Steele City spelling contest held Saturday March 25. Leona Payne of Dist. 22 placed second. Lake Bristol teaches Dist. 89 and Mrs. Freda Greenwood teaches.
Roy Seachard Louis Williams and Rodney Heinen were sentenced to life in Stockton Kansas for the March 16 Webster Kansas killing of 65 year old filling station operator Chas Case. They pleaded guilty and were arrested in Colorado and Fairbury.
Cornbelt Lumber Co offers enamel and spar varnish in stock. Varnish priced at 60 to 79 cents per quart with address in Diller Nebraska. Manager C L Geer advertises contact by phone 153.02 for home improvement needs.
Public meeting at Diller city hall heard Attorney John Hartigan explain 100 percent reopening of the Diller State Bank on a non restrictive basis. Patrons urged patience to recover depreciation in bonds and restore capital. Mayborns to continue operation. Local notices note polls open 8 AM to 8 PM next Tuesday.
The village board met in regular session March 7 1933 at Waggoner Brothers store. Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills were read including drayage printing and salaries. The board adjourned at the chairman's call. John Clauson chairman Clas E Waggoner clerk.
The Diller band senior section, aided by business men, has raised a purse to buy new music and cover hall rent. They will present a free concert in the opera house on Monday night April 10, inviting the general public to attend. The band has practiced regularly since formation and promises quality music.
Womans Club hosts held a March 22 gathering with Mrs. J. Carico presiding. Members shared travel reflections, Miss Hansen led community singing with Mrs. Schindler at the piano, and a piano number Puck by Gregg delighted all. Educative papers on transportation and journeys were read, and a duet Roses of Picardy was performed.
A social evening concluded with a dainty lunch as hosts and guests departed content. The next meeting is scheduled for April 12 at 2 30 P M with hostesses Mesdames Scott Miller and Evan Best. Leaders are Mesdames O J May born and Isabel Vieths. Roll call topic State Institutions and Parliamentary Law led by Mrs T F Roehrkasse.
