The village board of Diller Nebraska canvassed the March 21 caucus results and nominates R. F. Starr F. Hartzel and John D. Fanders by unanimous vote for two year terms as trustees. Clerk C A Reinhardt announces the count.

Late trains Sunday expected due to new time. all trains 2 a.m. departures delayed one hour.
Theatre listing shows Rex Theatre events from March 29 to April 6 featuring Helen Holmes Lost Express chapters 42 and 14, The Long Green Trail, Mary Pickford Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, and Jack Pickford Varmint. Shows run March 29 30 April 2 5 6 with multiple screenings.
The First Presbyterian choir of Fairbury directed by Mrs. E A Bullsby will perform The Easter Alleluia Cantata at Diller Presbyterian church Sunday evening. The piece is described as highly difficult and was artistically rendered by the Fairbury choir.
Notice from the village board of trustees of Diller Nebraska. All dogs found without a license tag will be shot after April 15 1918. Taxes: male dogs one dollar and female dogs five dollars. Taxes are to be paid at once to the town treasurer by order of the board.
After conferences in Omaha Nebraska farmers through their farm organizations establish the Nebraska Farmers War Council to back the government in the Third Liberty Loan and other activities. Headquarters open at the Federal Reserve Bank of Omaha with letters and service cards to members this week. Nearly all farmers expected to pledge support.

Zion Lutheran will observe Easter with a 10 30 a m preaching service and a 7 30 p m program by the congregation's young people titled Alpha and Omega All are invited Otto Bergfelder pastor.
The church invites worshipers to a Good Friday service at 10:30, and Easter Day on March 31 at 10:30 a.m. with communion. An Easter bank offering will be collected. A second Easter Day service is planned for April 1 at 10:30 a.m.
The Presbyterian and Union services announce a Sabbath school program at ten with a Foreign Missions offering and an eleven o’clock Easter sermon by Mr. Larkin. An Easter cantata by the Fairbury choir will close the day, adding festive spirit.
Methodist notices announce special Lenten services at the Presbyterian church with daily sermons. Easter program by Sunday school at 10 o clock and large attendance expected. Rev M E Gilbert to attend quarterly conference Saturday at 7 30. officers urged to attend. Regular worship at 11 Sunday with Gilbert preaching. Sunday evening services move to Presbyterian church ending union series. Epworth League to precede preaching on April 7 resuming regular evening services.
