Anton Friday a well known German farmer living one mile west of Diller died after a sudden appendectomy. Doctors from this place performed the operation with Dr Hepplin of Beatrice assisting. Friday recovered briefly but his heart failed Tuesday night and he died Wednesday afternoon. Funeral rites will be held at the Catholic church in Fairbury with interment in Fairbury cemetery. A full obituary will appear next week.
