The Record reports the birth of twins to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carpenter Faye Diller at Mercy Hospital San Diego California. Kenneth Lee and Keith Dee were born March 5 1941 at 1118 AM 1207 PM with weights 5 lbs 5 oz and 65 lbs even. John Sailing Geo Rahman returned from Los Angeles with Mrs Fayette Sutton. Albers remains in Colorado.
The Dorcas society of the Methodist church holds its regular meeting Thursday afternoon March 20 in the church basement. Mrs Ira Casper leads devotionals and Mrs James Hays chairs the entertaining committee. Pew year books may be ready for distribution. Visitors welcome.
The Keystone class of the Congregational church will hold an annual doughnut sale on Saturday March 15. Doughnuts will be on sale at Waggoner s and Farmers Store. Price is 20 cents per dozen. See Hughes Store for special prices on page five.
The Quizec District reports a social hour after a gathering at The basement church with a free will offering, bouquet gifts, refreshments, and a talk on citizenship and education. Guests include Ruth Weigel and Miss Hattie Kinneman of Benham. Cully family members attend. plans for future meetings discussed.
Mrs Jansen and A Steele visit the Gretzinger home today in City as a birth is recorded for Jennings on February 6. The note references a car present at the scene and mentions theparents Mrs Ben and Mr Ben.

Claude Nider handled business in Diller Wednesday forenoon as Holle's Store prepares an opening sale on the last page of the display ad. Claude battles rheumatism this winter and is in poor shape but pushes ahead with the event.
Mr and Mrs Fred Uim and their daughters of Aprorag were Sunday guests at the home of the former's brother K aod and family.
The Kenstone Kensington monthly gathering drew large attendance with Mrs. Snyder, Mrs. Ina Hill, and Mrs. Ralph Wagoner among those present. Conversations covered fruit and vegetable preservation by refrigeration and canning beer with steam pressure, and plans for a flag project and songs at the NL Ni Project Club.
William Sherman Cully, born September 9 1864 in Pella Iowa, died March 1 194? at Shattuck Oklahoma after a major operation. He lived seven miles southeast of Gage before moving to Gage in 1924. Survived by wife Loretta, two daughters Adeline Stewart and Ethel Ladasau, four sons Earl R. and Charles A., 21 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, plus brothers Albert Cully C T Cully Perry Cully. Funeral held Monday at the high school auditorium with interment in the IOOF cemetery.
In a letter from Captain R. T. Schreim the Nebraska Safety Patrol notes Jefferson County's first traffic fatality in February 1941. They report 15 deaths across 13 counties in January and 18 deaths in February, urging cautious conservation of lives and resources and hoping March 1941 has no fatalities.
