Mrs Mattie Clark recalls her 1885 move from Minonk Illinois to Diller Nebraska and describes the early town. She lists shops schools churches and social life noting a cyclone on the first Fourth of July and the growth of Diller over fifty years. She mentions residents still living and reflects on progress and community spirit.
Mrs Clara Jeffryes delivered an original poem dedicated to the union read by Mrs Johnson at a Diller gathering. Lively entertainment cited as among the daintiest of its kind with attendees including Mrs Welton Mrs Price Mrs Bixby Mrs Ames and many others.
Congregational Church notes announce sermon at 11 A.M. led by Pastor Snyder and Superintendent S. S. ets School at 10 A.M. A missionary meeting is planned for March 15 with Mrs. W. E. Anderson as hostess and Mrs. Grace Fasnacht, leader. Other helpers include Mrs. Riddle devotional, Mrs. Warman discussion, and Mrs. Seaman. Topic is Church Work in the Community.
