Women to Gather at Fairbury for Demonstration Meeting

Women in Jefferson County will meet at Odd Fellows Hall in Fairbury on Monday March 18 at 1 p.m. Miss Mary Ellen Brown state extension agent and Mrs Gladys Ayars canning expert will present. Ayars will demonstrate canning and Brown will discuss the Nebraska project and study clubs. Open to the public.

Corn and Hog Chief to Speak in Nebraska

Claude R. Wickard, chief of the corn hog section at Washington, will address Nebraska farmers Wednesday afternoon March 20 at Grand Island. W. H. Brokaw announces and corn hog committees and central Nebraska producers are being notified. Wickard, an Indiana farmer, will speak as an industry insider about corn-hog contracts. The Nebraska Press association voted in Lincoln to end the NRA and all codes when the national industrial recovery act terminates in June 1935. A second resolution would withdraw from administering the state gra hie arts code.
