Wheat Harvest Under Way With Mixed Yields Noted

Farmers report wheat in bad shape due to black rust and lodging. Binders are more numerous as growers rush to save the crop with early yields seen around 12 bushels per acre. Larkins Buys Farm With Federal Tenant Loan

Ray M. Larkins of Ellis becomes Gage county’s first beneficiary of a Federal Tenant Loan. He purchased a 160 acre farm four miles north of Pickrell from D. Baumfolk for $10,000 with immediate possession. Baumfolk’s sale bills were posted last week. Kagana s comment notes the loan as a great benefit for him. The loan carries 3 percent interest with years to repay.
