Jefferson county motorists without renewal A mileage books faced blame on slow renewals. The War Price and Rationing board mailed out all approved renewals by Wednesday morning. Mrs Frances Saulsbury and assistants worked long hours with volunteers to complete the mailing of several thousand renewal books. About 500 motorists have not yet filed renewals, though some may have B or C coupons for now. A new tire inspection record is included with A book renewals.

J A Cully Dies After Stroke In Beatrice
J A Cully a former and highly respected citizen of Diller died at Beatrice hospital Tuesday morning after a stroke at his Beatrice home. Funeral services were held Thursday at Harmon Johnson mortuary with burial in Prairie Home cemetery. Obituary to follow next week.
